Lee Strobel’s bestseller comes alive in this documentary that chronicles the reporter’s journey from atheism to faith. The former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune draws upon his investigative skills to examine the historical viability and accuracy of the Gospels, along with the personal claims and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In this video adaptation of the best-selling book from Lee Strobel, you’ll encounter the mind-stretching discoveries from cosmology, cellular biology, DNA research, astronomy, physics, and human consciousness that present astonishing evidence for the existence of a Creator.
Unlocking the Mystery of Life is a compelling documentary examining the scientific case for intelligent design — an idea with the power to revolutionize our understanding of life…and to unlock the mystery of its origin.
Most scientists and philosophers claim that Earth is an ordinary speck of dust adrift, without purpose or significance, in a vast cosmic sea. This idea from naturalistic philosophy that has dominated science for the past 150 years. Yet, remarkable evidence–unveiled by contemporary astronomy and physics-tells a very different story.
Prophecies of the Passion is an extraordinary look at the Messianic prophecies fulfilled during the final week of Christ’s life on earth. “This film is a work of art. I believe many people will understand the full meaning of Christ’s death and resurrection for the first time.” – Lee Strobel Author of The Case for Christ.

Some of my thoughts on the films I watched:
“Unlocking The Mystery Of Life” was a great look at the intelligent design perspective; I’m not cultured in the arguments or all the challenges that arise in the scientific perspectives, and in that respect I feel I learned quite a bit from a short film and it left me with some ideas to think about when I consider the consequences of thinking about the world in either a creation or merely material perspective. It was also a good survey of the challenges and consequences in trying to understand the world from either an atheistic evolutionary perspective or a creationist/intelligent design perspective. I was pretty stoked about this film.
“The Case for Christ” was also a good introduction to the study of the arguments and facts involved in thinking about the meaning and validity of claims about Jesus as the Christ. It was also aesthetically pleasing and artsy in the way it was filmed and therefore had good entertainment value.
“The Privileged Planet” was good, but to me it was more interesting than provoking; it would probably be more provoking for someone who tends to view the world in terms of chance and mystery since it explores the idea of seeing ourselves as “priveleged” observers (in the sense of how unique it is that Earth is a great location for making observation, and the only place known that such observers even exist). It left open what the meaning of this unique existence of life is, and in that way had more of a passive flavor in the realm of challenging or advocating scientific philosophies.
Hopefully that helps anyone interested in watching any of the films
